Love In An Army Hospital

8th Januray 2014, Wednesday, 12:38 am

Love! It's just not a word!

It's amazing to see the power of love in day to day life. Today I had gone to RnR Army Hospital to visit someone. Only two people were allowed to meet the patient at once and there were four of us. So the two of us sat in the waiting room, flipping newspaper pages and then turning magazine pages, looking here and there observing people 'cause we had nothing better to do and also 'cause the first time ever I had left my cellphone at home. After an hour of complete boredom I decided to go downstairs to explore and get myself something to eat.

When I got downstairs to CCD, I saw a couple praying to Lord Ganesha's idol placed on an elevated platform of about 3ft in the atrium of the hospital. The guy was in army uniform and his wife was in a loose blue hospital gown and she was pregnant. It was a really touching sight to see both of them together, the way her husband was taking care of her, one hand wrapped around her waist, holding her gently to support and another hand holding the 'Aarti ki thali' with his wife. The smiles on their faces were priceless. Then They did parikrama around the idol, the entire time they were holding hands, it was just adorable, the way her husband looked at her, like he'd never let anything happen to her and the way she looked at him with complete trust and love, her head resting on his shoulder, It was heart warming. All that I could say was, 'aww'.

Couples like these actually make you belive that there is something like true love, incidents like these reinforce your faith in love, the existence of soulmate, the one true love.

That someday you too will have you perfect love story. #hopeful
